Split view closing bug

Description of the issue:
When closing split view on newest beta version, browser just crashes.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary):
1. Launch Brave
2. Open new split view and open two websites in it.
3. Try to close split view using ā€œXā€ in vertical tab bar.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Browser just closes.

Expected Result:
Closing split view and opening both tabs as separate tabs

Reproduces how often:
Always

Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Brave release - v1.72.77

Reproducible on current live release (yes/no):
no

Additional information:
Iā€™m using macOS 15.0.1 (24A348)

A frustrating issue with Split View is that every time a new version is released, or when I close and reopen Brave, the Split View resets, and I have to set up Split View for all the pages again. Is there a workaround for this problem?
