Hi there @Mattches , I have Redmi phone with brave 1.5.5 version and I am facing same issue. even on this community website, when popup asking for “notification permission” appears, I am able to neither allow it or block it. it just remain as it it. I tried reloading website, but same issue persisted. This is very serious issue for android users. So please solve this.
which website @denishdk ?
@fanboynz Any website that asks for “notification permission” on brave android app. Primarily, I was talking about brave community website (community.brave.com)
I found this which solved my problem, in short: Disable apps that my enable an overlay over the current Apps, like Quickball does on MIUI.
(On my Ximian it happend in every browser, btw.)
@aloismaierhofer This worked for me. Thanks
Brave 1.5.131 on a Samsung Galaxy S10+ running Android 10.
Same issue for me
For example happens also on https://calendar.google.com/calendar/b/1/r in desktop or mobile mode
hello kings
i made an account just to post this; i was able to fix this by disabling the permissions of any apps which draw on the screen over other apps. the major culprit for this is Facebook Messenger with its ******* circle popup messages thing.
you can disable it by going to settings -> apps -> apps -> messenger -> advanced, and then toggle off the permission to draw over other apps. this solved the problem for me instantly (no phone reset needed, but i did navigate away from the webpages asking for permission prompts and then navigated back to them). i think that this might be part of some kind of anti-fraud measure in the browser to prevent webpages from forcing you to accept permissions automatically.
let me/us know if this solves the issue or not. cheers…
