Sidebar Bookmarks - add a link target so a dragged link can be added to current list shown

if I drag a link to the current shown bookmark list, nothing happens atm. It shows “new folder” and various bookmarks. I have to go up a level to add a bookmark to said list.

With a link target, we could drag a link and drop it there, it would add the bookmark to the current showed list.

@Perhaps,
If I’m understanding you correctly here, it sounds like you’re not dropping the link in the right area. If you open a list of bookmarks in the sidebar and want to drag and drop a link into that list, you will see the list of bookmarks “highlight” where you can drop the link. If you drop it outside of that section, it will not be added. I have included an example video below:

If I’m incorrect about the behavior you’re trying to describe please let me know.

Odd. I used the icon right before the link address to drag a link to the sidebar bookmarks. Was not working on the first day I tried Brave out.

Yet curiously, using the link itself, and the icon before it, to drag to the same approx area in the sidebar, tonight, it accepts it and creates a bookmark from it.

Though not really close to where I drop it. Places it at the bottom of the list. While not ideal, considering this close enough, thanks!

[edit] Ha, and just noticed too, the icon next to the link icon that is basically the “add current tab” button at the bottom of the sidebar, right next to the web address link. That little button "“bookmark this tab” could stand to be modestly wider, to be easier to casually mouse to and click.
