Shields doesn't work while using Brave without administrator privileges

Fresh instalation of Windows 10 Home 22H2

EDIT: I can see, it’s a quite known bug.

Using Brave as admin helps, as stated here https://community.brave.com/t/ad-block-isnt-working/546423/2?u=husarior, but if I open Brave from a taskbar, as always, it no longer goes as admin, so shields doesn’t work. While using the browser as admin brave://components/ update, but even after updating these, if I open Brave without admin privileges, there is an error in every component.

I was installing fresh Win10 on this machine many times and this problem started just now. I never had a problem like this.
How to make it work without admin privileges?

:white_check_mark: It seems like reinstalling the browser from .exe downloaded from Brave’s webside did help.
Previously I had Brave installed through Powershell (Chocolatey).

@Husarior little update on that. One of the devs ended up saying to never open as administrator if possible. They are saying follow instructions at https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/38609#issuecomment-2195847971 to fix the issue.

As to saying not to open as admin, here’s a screenshot of that comment:

I have never done it previously and still got that problem. In my case reinstalling Brave from main .exe download from https://brave.com/download/ did help. (Previously installed through PowerShell – Chocolatey.)

But just in case I will never try to open Brave as admin.
Thank you for the answer nonetheless.
