Revisiting Bookmarks

Hi all,

Revisiting the bookmark issue. I was planning to test the original issue on another profile however I simply don’t have the time to invest. I’m the only officer person for a plumbing company and we’ve not slowed down in months. Because I don’t have the time to clean them all up for the 3rd time, I thought maybe I would export them, clean them all up and import them back in. Well there appears to be an issue with exporting. I do not get the options shown in the help section which shows the process to export. Upon export, there is no option to do anything except export. They download as html which I cant sort to remove all the dups. Any thoughts here?

This is just how the bookmarks file gets exported (as .html) and is how most browsers will export bookmarks from a profile.

If you’re wanting to find a way to delete the duplicates from this file, I would recommend either finding a website or software that will perform this function for you. Alternatively, you could open the HTML file in a text editor and use the “find and replace” function to find all instances of a specific site/bookmark, and “replace” them with a blank space (that is, simply leave the “replace” field empty).
