Hi, so I have just updated my windows 7 to Windows 10 and was expecting to be able to login into Brave as I was doing with Chrome in the past… Was it a critical mistake and have I lost all my bookmarks and settings (and BAT)? I have windows.old folder from which I have tried copying bravesoftware folder into new one, but it didn’t change anything…
I don’t think you can get back your BATs in any ways.
But you maybe able to get back your Bookmarks by searching deeply within the files.
I will give an update if it is possible.
Thanks. While losing BAT sucks, losing my bookmarks is actually bigger deal for me 
Are you able to find AppData\Local\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\Default from your old installation?

Yes, I’ve copied it to the new folder and the bookmarks are here, thanks 
Edit: and btw, my BAT tokens are back too.
You’re welcome! You’re lucky those files didn’t get corrupted throughout the process, otherwise you would have to forget about your bookmarks
