Troubleshooting technical issues is much easier when both the user and support agent practice clear communication. For this reason, we have provided the template below for you to fill out with information about your issue. Please provide as much detail as possible so we can most efficiently resolve your problem.
Description of the issue: In the YT app, if you Reply to someone’s comment, the comment is prefixed by the @ symbol and the other user’s ID so that the comment appears correctly in the thread tree. In Brave, clicking Reply does not add any user ID so if say user A replied to OP, and you reply to A, your own reply appears under OP which is already confusing but if there’s a hundred replies under OP then it makes zero sense. The workaround is to manually add @ and the name of the user you are replying to, or use the YT app. Invariably, I forget.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Find any nested comment.
- Click Reply on that comment.
- Note that input field has not been pre-populated with the previous comment’s user ID.
Expected result:
Brave does us a favour and adds the user ID like the YT app.
