Removing a website from the "Sites that can always use cookies" setting

In the “Cookies and other site data” section of Privacy and security, there is a section titled “Sites that can always use cookies”

There are two websites in my settings and I would like to remove them.

In the right side column there is a trash can icon for each website in the list.

I have repeatedly tried clicking those trash can icons on more than one day but nothing ever happens after I click those icons.

How do I remove those two websites from the “Sites that can always use cookies” list?

MacOS 10.13.6

Brave: Version 1.21.77 Chromium: 89.0.4389.90 (Official Build) (x86_64)

Know issue https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/12375 no idea when it or the cookie deletion upon exiting Brave will be fixed. One of many bugs in Brave.

That is not the subject of my inquiry.

The setting to which you referred does occur on the same page of settings but I am referring to a setting that is about 4 items below the check circle to which you referred. There is a section titled “Sites that can always use cookies”. I have two sites which I would like to remove but the trash can icon does not remove them.

So on brave://settings/cookies page ? Sorry on Windows here and wonder if the mac has the same pages

There are 3 headings at the bottom of the page

Sites that can always use cookies

and there if the site is like
[*.]hypothesis.is there are 3 vertical dots

if the site is like
llive.twit.tv there is a garbage can which should allow you to delete the cookie but clicking on the garbage can does nothing, Is that what you are getting at?

I notice that in Brave beta here there are 3 vertical dots that have options like block, clear on exit, edit and remove. This vertical bar does NOT show up on the release version of Brave. In the release version of Brave there is only the garbage can which does absolutely nothing and is what I believe is what the above posted Github is referring to.

Perhaps if possible post a screen shot but I know the cookie delete on Brave release version is having issues that are a year old and sitll not fixed.

Hi, @Shewmaker try visiting those sites, and in the brave shield (the one at the search bar) edit the setting to no allow the site to use cookies.

Let us know if that helps
