Region Not supported Error (India)

A week Ago my wallet got disconnected from the Uphold I tried to connect it again with my brave wallet I tried many times but got the same error “Region Not Supported” but the same wallet was working on my laptop & not on my Android Phone. I tried contacting Uphold for help but the issue was not from their side also uphold is supported in my region India.
I can’t figure out what the problem & how can I connect it again.

@Saoiray has covered what you would otherwise be using the Brave Community search feature, to find:

I have gone through that raised issue but didn’t see any working solutions to the error.

There’s no solution. Uphold and Gemini won’t allow Brave to connect to them at this time. Son you sit and wait, collecting BAT in your browser or you can turn off Ads. Eventually they will add India again but for now you can’t withdraw BAT.

Same problem with us
I’m also facing this issue
I hope brave will resolve it soon

The problem is only with the android on my desktop it’s connected & even getting withdrawn.

Shouldn’t be, but also have to take the message announced by Brave for what it is.

This time I suppose you might be wrong about it because on my laptop Brave browser is stilled verified with the uphold & even though I have received my last month’s payout so it’s working in India the problem is with the Android Brave Browser.

Nah, problem is some of you don’t like to read. Did you not click on the links I provided?

For example, look at NOTICE: New region restrictions on verifying Brave Rewards with Uphold

Note that those who are currently verified in regions that are no longer supported will continue to be until they are naturally logged out over time, or press to disconnect Brave Rewards from their Uphold account. Once logged out or disconnected from Uphold, users in unsupported regions will not be able to log in again or re-verify Brave Rewards with Uphold.

So you sitting here saying one of your devices is still connected doesn’t make anything I said wrong. It just means you’re arguing without looking at what has been said.

That said, you’ve shared something new over at Balance not settled - #3 by pravinsinghrajput which also raises additional questions in itself. But just saying that error “Region Not Supported” reason is exactly as I stated.

What should i refer one of you is sending me the like https://brave.com/transparency/ where india is still in active brave reward campaign & in your notice link isn’t i.e NOTICE: New region restrictions on verifying Brave Rewards with Uphold , Now whom to refer

Because they are different things. So in the Transparency one, it shows you who can still participate in Brave Rewards. India is still allowed. This means you can view ads and earn BAT, but that BAT will only be able to stay within Brave browser or be used to tip Content Creators.

Then there’s the NOTICE: New region restrictions on verifying Brave Rewards with Uphold which is talking about the ability to connect Brave to an exchange, such as Uphold. So even if you could use Brave Rewards, if you can’t connect to Uphold or Gemini, you can’t turn that BAT into money or send it elsewhere. Just as I said in the part above, you can only store it in your browser or tip content creators. This is all.

As you said that the BAT will stay within the Brave wallet then Why my june month BAT is not reflecting in my account during the first week of July it was in pending but then it disappeared from my wallet.

It should have had a Claim button. However, things don’t always work as they should. There’s a bunch of things that could have happened. What’s important though is only Brave can resolve that and they generally ask people to create a Support Ticket so they have the information needed and then they help.

If you have already created a support ticket and are waiting for a response, can you advise when you did the support ticket? If it’s been a while, I can try to reach out to see if anyone can check in on it.

Supports Ticket was created on 24 Jul 2022, 8:15 pm with ticket ID 146629

Ok, great. You have the ticket in and they will get to you.

July 24 at 8:15pm, that means it’s only been a day since submitted, give or take 10 hours (depending on time zone that time was in, as it’s currently July 25 at 9:56pm as I write this here in the USA) It can take a week or so for them to see tickets. I’m sure you’ll hear from them soon.

Also, the 24th was Sunday, when they don’t have many working. Only Monday today and they are catching up on things. If lucky, hopefully you’ll have them write back in the next 24-48 hours, but at least be advised it can take longer.
