Problem with self-grouping tabs

The tabs are always grouped even though there is only one page. Even if I close the group, it creates the group again, how can I solve this problem?

Try this:
Disable this option “Only open links in current tab group”. Close the browser. Reopen.
Settings → Appearance → Only open links in current tab group

If this is not solving the issue, please mention your OS, brave version etc.

I started having this same issue a couple weeks ago. I’m getting grouped pages even if there is only one page within the group. I have tried the steps above with no result. Deleting the group and reopening the web page in question “fixes” the problem for only a short period of time before the page mysteriously reverts to a group - with only one open page.
