Closing all tabs except one still keeps the tab group

Description of the issue:
When I close all tabs in a tab group on android Brave browser, the group will continue to exist with 1 tab.
This is pretty annoying as i have to remove it manually from group and when switching to another tab I need to get out of the group and then to come back to the tab I need to get into the group of one again.
This is really inefficient and a few versions before it was not like that but the last tab was automatically removed from the group and was converted to single tab.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Create a tab group with serval tabs
  2. Close all tabs except one in that group
  3. The tab group still exists

Expected result:
The tab group is removed and the tab is not in a group anymore.
Alternative: Create a flag for this behavior.

same here… the most annoying issue. before it was working fine. wanna change browser now to duckduckgo.

I’m not sure I quite follow the issue here. If you want to close all tabs in a tab group as well as close out the group itself, simply tap the box to view all tabs/groups, find the tab group you want to close and click x. The entire tab group will close along with all tabs contained:
