Power Consumption

I just installed Brave to see if I could dismiss Mozilla Fire Fox and am experiencing a significantly higher power consumption than I have on either Firefox or Edge. Is there something I have overlooked in the setup or would this be normal?

I have Windows 10 Pro as my operating system.

Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. After installing Brave went to Forge of Empires to see how it would perform and the cooling fan began to work harder than I can ever remember and obviously the amount of heat generated was significant.

While even typing this I find the same thing occurring suggesting that the browser is requiring considerably more poser than Firefox in the same instances.
2.I pulled up my Task Manager and found the browser using as much as 40%+ of the CPU slowing to about 15% intermittently
3.

Expected result:
If this is going to be a problem I would like to know so I can consider other alternatives

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Version 1.18.78 Chromium: 87.0.4280.141 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:

On my pretty old laptop, it’s the opposite: Brave’s power consumption and CPU usage are much lower than Firefox’s. (Windows 10 home)

I notice mine spiking as high as over 60%, I’m sure I never had that issue.

Thanks
