More of a comment I guess. I noticed that compared to google chrome for some reason the Brave browser seems to be using way more energy than my other browsers, as you can see in the screenshot below.
Usually I have some pretty demanding apps appear in this, not browsers. Was wondering why is it consuming so much ? And I just have the brave community tab open and a youtube tab, which in my opinion is few and shouldn’t make the browser consume so much energy.
Brave version: [Version 1.0.0 Chromium: 78.0.3904.97 (Official Build) (64-bit)], on Mac OS.
Can you share what you figured out? Brave is consistently using significant energy on my new Macbook Pro. I need to switch browsers just to keep my battery from rapidly draining.
Sorry I don’t think I can be of any help. The battery of my mac is towards the ends of its life and needs replacement soon. So I assumed that was the reason behind it. But since you have a new Macbook it seems like there is another issue with the high energy use from the browser.
