I use vpn. It always worked until starting from now it’s not working.
Endless pow captcha loop. Even with other vpn.
I mean brave browser is not supposed to block vpn for a reason if it is blocking.
Brave browser has a built in ad block for youtube and etc.
And they want to block vpn only makes you think brave browser is not really about freedom nor privacy and wants to sell data ?
I hope it gets fixed soon.
Also when using youtube, brave browser is supposed to help by replacing those impossible to solve google captchas that never work but brave browser’s instant click captcha which replaced google youtube’s impossible captcha is not appearing anymore like it used to.
I have the same issue but I’m not using a VPN. And when I use one the problem disappears, I don’t want to connect to VPN every time I search
Thanks for reporting, reviewing. Which VPN do you use?
Anyone experiencing this willing to hop in a Brave Talk link to troubleshoot?
We’ve just deployed a change that should fix the issue. Can you confirm you’re no longer experiencing?
WOW ! It got fixed. Thanks !
I was really frustrated since around year 2023 or 2024 late, every websites start to block vpn eagerly unless it’s a paid high tier vpns.
youtube also blocks viewers, then they try to block even viewing comments and force impossible captchas these days. =[
I’ve experienced the same exact problem using a VPN. I can reproduce this and get an infinite amount of CAPTCHA requests. By the way, it isn’t usually the Brave browser, it is the “dumb” CAPTCHA and the idiots who write the code for it. The VPN is going through a proxy server and the CAPTCHA won’t allow you access because it thinks you are a BOT, not a human. Here’s how to reproduce the infinite CAPTCHA. Go to www startpage com. Search for anything. Use the anonymous proxy search. When you get to a search that requires a CAPTCHA, you fill out the information and you’ll be infinitely looped because you’re using a proxy server that the coders won’t allow access to. Using a proxy “thinks” you are not a human. And concerning your YouTube ads not being blocked. I had the YouTube ads for about a month. I downloaded ublock origin and I never had a YouTube ad after installing it. I have ublock origin on both my Android phone and laptop. I’ve had a few minor issues using Brave, however it is doing OK about 99% of the time.
thanks for the reply. brave browser already have an built in adblock right away so you don’t need an add on like adblock for firefox. youtube ads are blocked. it’s the youtube video wanting me to sign in to view the video at all. Now even wants me to do captchas just to see the “comments.” lol
