Popup windows closed in less than a second

In attempting to open a pop-up window, such as exporting Bookmarks results in the window appearing for a brief time (< 1 sec) then closing. The user cannot export bookmarks, or download files (such as pdf files)

This is reproducible, by bringing up the bookmark manager then attempting to export bookmarks. Only worked the first time when installing a new brave browser version, 2nd time and there after the popup window always disappears.

Operating System:
Operating System: openSUSE Leap 15.2
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.6
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.71.0
Qt Version: 5.12.7
Kernel Version: 5.3.18-lp152.106-default
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 6 × Intel® Xeon® CPU E5-1650 v2 @ 3.50GHz
Memory: 31.3 GiB of RAM

Brave Version:
Version 1.34.71 Chromium: 97.0.4692.56 (Official Build) beta (64-bit)

I created a new Brave-beta software repository, removed the current Brave code from my OS and installed a fresh version. Problem still there.

Doing a google search shows 1 person asking about this exact problem in November.

Seeing the same on OpenSUSE 15.3/Gnome with Brave V1.33.106. I don’t think that the previous release version had this problem. A quick search for “popup” at https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues didn’t turn up anything relevant, but I’ll try to search harder when I have time, and file a bug report if I can’t find anything.

The same problem exists with the Vivaldi and Opera browsers, so this isn’t a Brave-specific problem. This also affects the file selection window when trying to upload files, which is very annoying.

Firefox works OK. My guess is that there is something openSUSE-specific going on here, otherwise every Linux user would hit this, possibly with every Chrome-based browser, and it would have been fixed by now.
