PLEASE HELP! Issues after update!

**Description of the issue: I had an update for my Brave browser, and as soon as I updated it the entire browser crashed. There is no text on any page! The pages are working, its just that there is no text. When I type, the cursor moves, but no text is visible. I have removed and reinstalled the program too, and I get the same issue.

Thank you!

How can this issue be reproduced?

**Expected result: I love the broswer, so if it could work properly I would be super happy!

@mugzie,
Ideally you would fill out all of the information in that template. It’s what we use to narrow down causes and get the best idea of what we’re looking at.

Can you please send me a screenshot of how text/webpages are appearing on your end? Also, can you please try opening a Private browsing window and tell me if you can read text there or if it is the same as in a standard window?

I have had an update on the browser for a few days, and as soon as I updated it, this started happening.

@mugzie,
Thank you for clarifying and for the screenshots.

Can you try disabling Hardware Acceleration in settings to see if this resolves the issue?

You’ll find this in Settings --> Additional Settings --> System --> Hardware Acceleration

Lol, I hate to be a pain, but I cant see the text to know where the settings or those mods would be.

@mugzie,
lol nope you’re right – I did not consider that. However, you should be able to find it even without text. It’s located towards the very bottom and should be the very last toggle option you see on the page. So if you just go to settings (you can hit cmd + , to open Settings) and scroll all the way to the bottom, toggle the last visible one “off”:

That worked! Thank you so much for your time and your patience!!!
