Please add a Smart Feed Widget to the Dashboard

Our browser is the centerpiece of our daily activities on the internet. A Feedly /Pocket like feature on the dashboard would be a very much appreciated addition, setting brave further apart from other browsers.

Today I have multiple widgets on the dashboard but I personally don’t really use or interact with them frequently. We all have topics we are interested in, news channels, and blogs we follow. When opening my browser it would be great to start with what’s new today, curated and sorted per my interest and helping to cut through the noise. This would also help publishes to be highlighted and have their content discovered by others.

Brave launched Brave Today - a new newsreader widget. Amazing addon to the Brave experience!

As a first version it works great, though it would be good if we could:

  • Open articles in a quick reader (anonymous) or at least a new tab.
  • Have a more submersive layout to quickly see an overview of all articles
  • Have a category menu to quickly filter through articles by topics, sources, or publication date
  • Have the option to add an article to a read later list
  • Add custom RRS feeds
  • Position Brave Today more prominently when I open my browser or at least show the # of new articles
  • Add a Brave News widget for iOS / Android :smiley:
