PC Hard Crashes When Watching YouTube on Brave

When I watch YouTube on Brave, my PC hard crashes (no BSOD, just an instant freeze requiring a hard restart). This issue persists despite trying every solution I’ve found on the forum.

Steps I’ve Tried:

  1. Cleared cache and browsing data.
  2. Reinstalled Brave completely (clean install).
  3. Disabled Brave Shields for YouTube.
  4. Turned off hardware acceleration in Brave.

None of these solutions resolved the problem.

System Details:

  • Brave Version: 1.75.175
  • Operating System: Windows 11 Enterprise (Version 10.0.26100)
  • Driver: Game Ready Driver 572.16 (updated as of January 30, 2025)
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • RAM: 16GB
  • Storage:
    • HDD: 1.8 TB
    • SSD: 465.8 GB (Brave is installed on the SSD)
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti
    • Monitor 1: Dell S2719DGF (2560x1440, 155 Hz)
    • Monitor 2: Dell P2217H (1080p, 60 Hz)

Additional Notes:
The issue only occurs when watching YouTube in Brave. It doesn’t happen with other browsers or apps, including when watching videos on other platforms.

I would appreciate any guidance on further troubleshooting or solutions.
