Password Manager isn't saving password after reinstalling BRAVE

Description of the issue:
So this is after reinstalling BRAVE since something in my User Data Folder caused the app to not open no matter how many times I clicked on it.
Because I didn’t update my password csv file, I went ahead and tried to save or update all of my passwords but when I logged out of the sites and tried to log in again the auto fill password prompt didn’t appear. I checked the password manager in setting and it was empty, even when I put the password correctly on a site then sees it on password manager closing then reopening it just shows it empty again. Even manually placing the site and password in manager doesn’t work since after I exit manager, going back in just shows it empty again.

Also just want to mention that I haven’t touched any setting in passwords. I would also like to note that all of these issues (including Brave not opening) only started happening today as Brave was just fine the other day.

Steps to Reproduce
1.) Open any site I have a password in
2.) Enter the password to log in
3.) Save Password via the prompt
4.) Log out
5.) Try to log back by entering password
6.) See that the auto fill doesn’t work
7.) Check Password Manager

Actual Result

As shown by the Screenshot, Password Manager is completely empty and this is even if I use my old csv file

Password Manager is empty and passwords aren’t saved

Reproduces how often
Every time I log out of any sites

Operating System and Brave Version
Windows 64-bit operating system, version 22H2, OS Build 19045.4651
Brave Version 1.68.128 Chromium: 127.0.6533.73 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information
Although saving passwords is an issue for me right now, I do stay logged in even after closing the tab, and reopening Brave.

Forgot to mention this, but since I reinstalled my Brave I had to copy/paste my old “Default” folder to the new Brave Folder in order to get all of my bookmarks, tabs, settings, etc. Not sure if this has anything to do with what’s happening, but I thought I should share this for transparency sake.

@Unsan_Musho23 I was having the same issue and the solution is to
Navigate to BraveBrowser Userdata folder → Default → delete LoginData sqlite file and then restart brave and import csv.

same issue for me, luckily I had a CSV file saved before it happened, not only that, all my settings were reset for some apparent reason and Brave for some reason is slower than normal and a disclaimer I DID NOT TWEAK WITH THE SETTINGS AT ALL it just randomly happened, and when I closed my Brave reopening it doesn’t work, all my windows are just permanently white screening

I have to mention, my system is running COMPLETELY FINE, Edge is working fine, I can play games as usual, performance is the same, just Brave is tweaking out.

This worked, thanks you so much. Even if I have to use my old CSV file, at least I don’t have to redo all of my passwords again. Thanks again for your help.

Had the same problem - took some time to find “BraveBrowser Userdata folder → Default” renamed to file and restarted Brave seems to be ok now.
