Description of the issue:

I have been trying to open Brave Browser, but it fails to launch. I’ve followed all suggestions I found on forums, YouTube, and even ChatGPT, but nothing has worked so far.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary):

  1. Open Brave Browser
  2. Observe that it does not start.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

The Brave Browser doesn’t launch, and no error messages are displayed.

Expected result:

Brave should open normally.

Reproduces how often:

Every time I try to open the browser.

Operating System and Brave Version (See the About Brave page in the main menu):

I cannot access the browser to view this, but I am running on [insert OS version here].

Additional Information:

I know this issue has been reported many times, but I’ve tried every fix suggested and still can’t get it to work.

It just stopped working after i restarted the app and i didn’t install any wierd extensions or things.

@planetwide Could you please specify which operating system you’re using? For example, are you on Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 11, or something else? Knowing the exact OS can help us troubleshoot your issue.

Have you tried reinstalling Brave by downloading it again? How did you initially install Brave?

Could you let us know which suggestions you’ve tried so far? Providing specific details helps avoid repeating steps and offer more targeted assistance.

I’m using Windows 11 as a operating system. I tried reinstalling, using the installer to update, multiple launch options (incognito, disable cpu etc), executing as admin, deleting all extensions, renaming the .exe app…

Can you try downloading and running the Beta build of the browser and tell me if that version crashes as well?

Opens, Prompt for default browser
Crashes :confused:
