Brave Crashs On Startup

Description of the issue: When I open the Brave browser, it instantly crashes and doesn’t work. I can’t access any information in the browser since it doesn’t launch at all. I need assistance to resolve this problem.

Expected result: I expect the Brave browser to launch successfully and allow me to browse the internet without any crashes.

  • Operating System: Windows 11
  • Any recent software updates or changes that might have occurred before this issue started? No.
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps on your own, such as running it in compatibility mode? Yes, didnt work.
  • Did you attempt to reinstall Brave as a part of your troubleshooting? If yes, did it have any effect? Nope, reinstalling didnt work
  • Is this issue limited to Brave, or do other browsers work fine on your system? Only brave.
  • Are there any error messages or codes that appear when the browser crashes?

Hello, since today same issue here but with a Windows 10.
Even with an deleted “Default” folder : Brave still crash.
Is there any relation with Brave updated release ?

I have the same problem. Ive reinstalled the latest version on windows 10 . Could it be something in the new up date ? Please solve.

brave.exe --user-data-dir=C:\Users[your user name]\Desktop\test

makes Brave browser awake back.

Profile folder get issued with the new version.
I redo my profile and get default folder back.
That’s works now !
