On-Start up random tab showing instead of ones written in settings

on start-up,
brave browser opens an old tab I had open a long time ago instead of the ones I have specified in the setting page for On start-up.

unsure if its reproducible.

running: Version 1.48.171 Chromium: 110.0.5481.177 (Official Build) (64-bit)

  • Hardware Acceleration is disabled.
  • problem doesnt persist on tester profiles.
  • all flags are default with the exception of Auto Dark Mode for Web Contents, which is disabled.

Is it always the same old tab, or does it change?

What do you have set here? brave://settings/getStarted

What extensions do you have installed?

yep always the exact same one!
in my settings for “On start-up” I have it set to “Open a specific page or set of pages”, with a link to my calendar (made sure url wasn’t wrong).
but, if I change “On start-up” to any of the other options, or put in a different url nothing changes, it still opens the one same page.

tested this with all my extensions disabled and no changes, same issue still occurs.
doesnt happen in a new profile

Just to make sure I’m understanding correctly – this happens even if you have it set to ‘Open the New Tab page?’

And the page it’s opening, is it that calendar page?
