Dear Bravesters–
Thank you for your product, which I really like despite this, which is a bug report I didn’t know where to enter because I couldn’t figure out your categories.

Before I shut down, I always clear cache all browsers (Duck Duck, Firefox, Safari, Brave). In Brave, all Clear Private Data flags are set on before the clear.
-
After I power up, also clear cache in all browsers [* 1]

Okay, so Brave seems clear, right? But sometimes I just don’t trust it, because the clear cache took too long. So I do a hard reboot and lo and behold I sometimes see a flash of the last Brave web page I was on–yesterday morn, it was the reddit page I was lurking on last night–and then I get the message that Brave closed unexpectedly.
Okay to the closed unexpectedly, but NOT okay to the idea that it still knew about that reddit page. That tells me its cache was never cleared. [* 2]
Thank you for any attention you can give this. For now, I will continue to hard-reboot to clear my cache, but I am wondering if I should not let Apple know, also, in case this is an oops on their side, as well…?

ASPIE TMI FOOTNOTES
(1) Because of sus experience with Brave and Firefox having data post-clear and me not knowing where in cycle it arose (e.g. whether retained in their cache or copied to some elsewhere I don’t know about and replaced from there to browser’s cache, if you get me. Sounds overly complicated, but I don’t know web coding or how hackers do their do).
(2) It’s like google telling us our search history is totally wiped but then you search on each letter of the alphabet and what I get for a and b is tots different than what you get and somehow my results show a lot about me and my past searches–right?
