No sync button on ubuntu linux desktop at all?

Description of the issue:
On ubuntu 20.x and browser
Version 1.8.96 Chromium: 81.0.4044.138 (Official Build) (64-bit)

there is no sync button in the settings

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
open settings
Reproduces how often:

Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Version 1.8.96 Chromium: 81.0.4044.138 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Type of devices currently running on the Sync chain in question:
no sync button, no chain
Additional Information:

I have searched faq but nowhere it says linux has no sync, so I am curious why I see no sync button.

Thank you for reaching out.
The reason is because you are on a very outdated version of the browser. The latest version of the browser is v1.25.70 at the time of writing this. I highly recommend updating as soon as possible.
