No more saving shield preferences per site? (re-open Nov 2018 posting)

Yes, this is identical to the Nov 2018 posting, which is now closed and cannot be commented upon, because the final word for that was “The other options of Allow until restart and Always allow is not yet built in. This will be available in future iterations”

Long time Brave user, long time Firefox user with ScriptSafe and Chrome user with NoScript.

Both ScriptSafe and NoScript have the option for temporary script overrides and permanent overrides.

Brave’s temporary overrides are good, but work-intensive. Brave needs permanent overrides.

Thank you for the good work, and the hard work, and for giving your users a voice. Here’s to hoping that Brave will be more than just Courageous, but also Great!

Hello, @Vaneyen. Brave has what I think you mean by permanent per site override now:

Is that it?

The temporary overrides would be nice, especially if done for each subcategory in the pull-down in addition to the site overall.

I’m using Brave 0.69.44 Chromium: 75.0.3770.100 (Official Build) nightly (64-bit) (Windows 10 Home 1809 (Build 17763.557) and MacOS 10.14.5), but Release appears to have the identical pull-down.

Using Version 0.66.99 Chromium: 75.0.3770.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Not talking about the Shields Up/Shields Down per-site feature (that works) but the more granular blocking of only some scripts.

@Vaneyen,
I believe we have plans to implement this functionality down the road – you can view an open issue for this here:

I’ve added your report here on Community the Github thread as a +1 on your behalf.

I see, @Vaneyen. Have you taken a look at uMatrix extension? I’ve used it with success in the past, and I think it does what you want until it’s built into Brave.
