Description of the issue: Entering any mod or image page in Nexusmods.com (Not the main page itself) makes it completely unusable, to the point it lags the entire browser. Note that i have tried disabling all extensions and Brave Shields, deleted cache and cookies, the result is the same How can this issue be reproduced?
Browser becomes largely unusable due to how slow it becomes, can be noticed when hovering over extensions, bookmarks, scrolling down, etc.
Expected result: Expect the page to behave as it did a few days ago, without any noticeable lag
Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.76.74
Additional Information: Website community manager has mentioned the issue is related to Brave itself, and since it’s not a supported browser by them, no fix will be provided
Not seeing any issues on my end in Brave on Windows 10 or macOS. Site works perfectly fine – I’m able to navigate it as expected, can view images, download files, view the forums, etc. without any issue.
Does it take a certain amount of time for the slowdown to occur? Is there a specific way I should be testing the site?
So i have found the solution and have no idea why it’s like that.
For some context, the slowdown was almost instant when visiting these certain pages.
But, i had Use graphics acceleration when available turned off (Due to it causing issues in the past), and seeing how other people solved similar problems by turning it on, i decided to try it.
Low and behold, that instantly fixed the issue. I have no idea if anything else will arise from having it turned on, but for now it seems to work wonders.
