Brave Unusable (Laggy)

I have been using Brave for years. Today, for some reason, it has become so laggy that it is unusable. There is at least a five second delay from when I type a letter in a URL to when it appears in the address bar. I have disabled all extensions, cleared browsing history, and created a new profile, and no change. Brave Task Manager says GPU Process is as high as 90 CPU, which is the only thing that looks out of the ordinary. Any suggestions? I have to download Firefox for now. Thank you!!

Test the Hardware Acceleration switch positions.
