Description of the issue: Link opened in new tab will display mobile website and not desktop website
How can this issue be reproduced?
Google.com
Search for browser headers
Make sure Google is set to open search results in an new tab
Make also sure Brave is set to prefer desktop modus for new tabs
Tap the search result linking to https://pgl.yoyo.org/http/browser-headers.php
Expected result: Search result opens in a new tab in desktop mode
Actual result: Search result opens in a new tab in…
This has been an issue for over eight or nine months now. In the thread linked above I discovered it was a user agent issue. This was posted in response.

Link opened in a new tab does't use Desktop mode
## Steps to reproduce
1. set all pages to load using desktop view in the general website settings of Brave
2. open any page in a new tab
3. open a link from that page in a new tab
4. Second tab opened is using mobile view instead of desktop view
## Actual result
Link opened in a new tab does't use Desktop mode
## Expected result
Link opened in a new tab should use Desktop mode

However it’s been several months since them and this is still not fixed. It’s extremely annoying because every single page that’s opened externally with a link opens in a new tab and therefore opens in mobile view because of this bug. That includes links in emails, IMs, etc.
