New Tab displays Dashboard page Instead of Homepage

My Brave settings are:
New Tab Page → New Tab Page shows Homepage
On Startup → Open a Specific Page = https://duckduckgo.com

When I open Brave for the first time, it displays the DDG home page. But if I then open a new tab, it displays the Brave dashboard page instead of the DDG home page. Is there a way to get the DDG Homepage to display when opening New Tab Pages?

You need to enable “Show home button”. Then set DDG as the target. << This one is the “homepage” while the setting you mentioned is only for startup.
