A new tab used to open with my home page, but now it opens with a Brave page. Is there a way to get back to a new tab opening my home page?

Currently no, unforunately. We’re still easing our way into this new UI ourselves and plan to release more design-based features like this in the near future. We appreciate your patience on this one.
We have an open issue to allow the NTP to be fully customizable here:
