"Network boundary shield blocked suspicious request" on specific websites

Description: Certain websites show the following behaviour: (1) The normal log-in boxes (Username and Password entry prompts) will not allow me to enter text. (2) After a short while, the page freezes and mousing-over buttons or text entry fields does not change the cursor as I would expect. (3) Brave starts throwing dozens of pop-up “Network boundary shield blocked suspicious request” errors into the Windows Message Centre in rapid succession, with an additional message “Request from [website url] to 127.0.0.1 blocked.” (4) These error messages keep coming even when I close the offending website, and only stop if I close Brave. (5) Private Browser mode seems to work somewhat better (I don’t get the error messages, but the site does lock up). (6) Clearing cookies does nothing.

Exact URL of the website in question: kijiji.ca/t-login.html and https://authentication.td.com/uap-ui/?consumer=easyweb&locale=en_CA#/uap/login
