Additional Information:

@bmacneil Hi and welcome to the community.

Looks like you may have full screen mode enabled at brave://bookmarks? Press the F11 key to toggle full screen on/off. Once your address bar displays, if you still can’t see your bookmarks, try using Ctrl-Shift-B. This toggles the bookmarks bar on/off.

Hope this helps! Take care. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @Chocoholic

glad to be here!

Sorry I didn’t explain the bookmarks issue clearly. (I did try your suggestions but no change)

My desired bookmarks are in a subfolder called “Favorites bar” located under the parent folder called “Bookmarks”.

It only displays the ones in “Bookmarks”.

How can I make the subfolder called “Favorites bar” as my active bookmarks?

thx v much :slightly_smiling_face:

@bmacneil I did misunderstand. Unfortunately, AFAIK, you can not designate a different folder other than “Bookmarks” as your primary display folder. So, the only way to get the bookmarks in the “Favorites” folder to display on the bar would be to move the individual bookmarks directly under the “Bookmarks” folder, which you’ve already discovered! Any folders you have under “Bookmarks” would also display on the bar.

I can see that this could be a convenient feature. You might want to create a feature request in the Brave Feature Requests category. I did search the category but couldn’t find a topic on this particular feature.

For some reason, I still have a feeling I am missing the point! Please update again if I am. Take care. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey @Chocoholic

you have 100% nailed the issue :grinning:

Alas (always wanted to use that word) as I can see from your response there is no way to change the bookmarks folder that Brave uses.

Guess I’ll move them one-by-one into the Bookmarks folder. Sigh.

Thx v much and have a great holiday break!

That is a good word! I like the sound of it too.

You can select the group and drop them into the bookmarks folder. Just open your Favorites folder, then click the top bookmark, hold the shift key and click the last bookmark you want to move. That will highlight all the bookmarks, You can then just use your mouse to drag them where you want them! You can even use ctrl-click here too if there are some bookmarks you want to skip.

You are welcome. You have a great holiday break too!

Hey hey hey @Chocoholic

your suggestion CTRL-A multi-select copy and paste worked like a charm!

All my bookmarks are now showing up just like I wanted them.

Brave is well on the way to becoming my go-to browser of choice. Loving the speed and simple interface.

Thx so much, appreciated!

I didn’t know about ctrl-A. Much easier than the shift-click. Thanks for the share! :slightly_smiling_face:

I just drag and drop, but copy/paste works too!

Take care. :slightly_smiling_face:
