@martyl,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
We’ve had some issues with our importer and have definitely seen this before. If you’re just trying to import your bookmarks/favorites into Brave, do the following:

  1. Open Safari
  2. Click File --> Export Bookmarks... and save the bms somewhere accessible
  3. Launch Brave and open the main menu, navigate to Bookmarks --> Bookmarks Manager
  4. Click the menu button on the top-right --> Import Bookmarks
  5. Find and select the bookmarks you just exported from Safari

Let me know if this resolves your issue.

Thanks! That did it, though I needed to drag a few of them around to organize them. I wish you could select more than one bookmark/folder at a time so organizing large numbers of bookmarks was easier…

Also, one thing I notice is that on some websites (ie,
nytimes.com
), hitting the spacebar to scroll down a page goes about 1 line too far, making it necessary to press the up-arrow to read the line that is now hidden. Can this be adjusted or fixed? Otherwise, I love this browser! Much faster than Safari…

My pleasure!

Does Chrome scroll down the same length when you hit spacebar?

Yes it does, Chrome scrolls the same as Brave
