Description of the issue:
Trying to import bookmarks from Safari (Mac) but they don’t show up Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
Click Bookmarks Bar/ Import bookmarks now…
“Import bookmarks and settings: Safari” Check box Favorites/Bookmarks.
Click Import
“Your bookmarks and settings are ready” … “Show Bookmarks bar” is on Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
No bookmarks are found in Bookmarks Bar or Other Bookmarks folder in Bookmarks Manager.
No bookmarks show in Bookmarks Bar Expected result:

Every time I try, on 2 different Macs Brave Version(about:brave):

We’ve had some issues with our importer and have definitely seen this before. If you’re just trying to import your bookmarks/favorites into Brave, do the following:
Open Safari
Click File --> Export Bookmarks... and save the bms somewhere accessible
Launch Brave and open the main menu, navigate to Bookmarks --> Bookmarks Manager
Click the menu button on the top-right --> Import Bookmarks
Find and select the bookmarks you just exported from Safari
Thanks! That did it, though I needed to drag a few of them around to organize them. I wish you could select more than one bookmark/folder at a time so organizing large numbers of bookmarks was easier…
Also, one thing I notice is that on some websites (ie,
nytimes.com), hitting the spacebar to scroll down a page goes about 1 line too far, making it necessary to press the up-arrow to read the line that is now hidden. Can this be adjusted or fixed? Otherwise, I love this browser! Much faster than Safari…
