My last post got locked, so let me elaborate and emphasise the level of my worries.
I can not access Google Search. It is locked from my Browser. I can access it from all other Browsers. Vivaldi, Chrome, FireFox, etc. Not Brave.
My Brave can access all other search engines. Like Yahoo, DDG, Yandex, etc.
It can access Google Play, Google Analytics, Google Docs, etc.
Everything but Google Search.
Hey @Dni. Thanks for posting a little more after Mattches encouraged you to share info from template. I’m going to give some feedback on things to try and/or information needed from you, but let me first explain the dilemma here as a person who wishes to help you:
As we aren’t able to see or touch your computer, we are only able to respond with advice based on the information you tell and show us. This makes it incredibly important for each person to be as descriptive as possible.
How/Why? I mean, are you getting any error messages? Does it just spin and never load? Does it display a message saying you’re offline? Does it say website is unavailable? There are many different things that could be happening here, all with different causes. When you are vague on this, we can’t just provide a solution but have to choose one of the many possibilities and see what happens.
All of that said, here’s what I’d like you to try:
Disable Shields and refresh the page Do this while you’re on Google Search. Does anything change? If so, it’s settings in Shields. If not, enable it again and go to step 2 below
Open in a private window: Does it work there? If so, issue is either extensions or cookies. If not, go to step 3.
Create a new browser profile. You do this by Hamburger Menu → More Tools → Add new profile. Make sure you don’t add extensions to this profile and don’t change settings. Does it work here? If so, issue is in settings or possibly extensions.
Those three basic steps should help figure out what’s going on. In 99.9% of situations it will resolve issues or at least let us greatly narrow down what problem you’re experiencing.
But other thing, if you can, would be to make sure to do screenshots or explain as much as possible if your issue persists. It also may be important to think of it for issues in the future.
Obviously the list can go on. Each situation has different causes and solutions. And that’s if you’re just not able to load the site. Again, just showing to emphasize how important it is that we have people providing feedback. Since we can’t see it, we need people to explain what they are seeing. Since we can’t touch their computers, need to be explained in detail what steps are being taken and what happens.
