Hi, I currently have 3 devices connected to Uphold and everything is fine.
I’ve been reading a lot on the forum about the 4 device’s limit, so I have this question:
I would like to know what happens if I reinstall the operative system of one of those devices, after everything is set up, when I get to reconnect that device to Uphold, will my 4th device slot be used? (that would not be good) I don’t know, maybe Uphold will understand that I’m adding my 4th device. Or will I remain with the 3 used slots that I already had previously to the reinstall process?
Reinstalling Brave or your OS, resetting or replacing your device, and using more than one profile on a single device all count as a separate device for the purposes of connecting to Uphold wallets. Even if you unlink a device from your Uphold account, you don’t regain that allotment. Only your first four devices will ever be able to contribute to your Uphold wallet. Brave is in the process of exploring a way to regain old, no-longer-used allotments as well as adding more wallet options (Gemini should be coming soon).
Gemini connection is coming soon. So you’ll have 3 remaining Uphold connections, and 4 Gemini connections. I believe more connection partners should be coming soon, so you’ll never run out of connections!
I really hope so, it would be great. I believe it will happen soon because Brave is growing and growing not only for the BAT they give, I think it’s expanding because its speed and its capability to prevent undesired advertisements.
I think that the main idea would be to delete or replace (desirable) a connection that for some circumstance is not going to be used anymore.
