Downloaded Brave via Safari and Chrome, same result (see image)
Having a link to alternate download site (or prior version) would be nice… is there such a thing?

Where are you trying to download Brave from?
Using a MacBook Air M1 running Sonoma 14.5.
I’m using the link from the Brave Download page (https://brave.com and every search has let me back to the same page to download the same file as shown above). Tried again this morning on a different device, got the same result. Then tried same link on a desktop Mac mini and it opens fine there-- so I can’t blame the Brave image file…
FWIW, I dragged that file over via the network, and it still would not open- so I guess it’s a Disk Utility error?
Well- this is a testament to the stability of macs… I reboot my Windows machine every few days. If I don’t, everything starts to unravel. But on my mac I’ll go months (sometimes more than a year) without rebooting. Something nagged me about this failure to mount a disk image, because when I transferred that same image to another mac it mounted just fine. So I rebooted. And everything works. ¯*(ツ)* /¯
