"lookalike" site warning won't close

The “Did you mean to go to this site” warning won’t go away when closed (can require 8 clicks to get rid of it!?!). It’s also crazy that it pops up given that the site that I want to visit is a favourite and already open in another tab, and is used almost all the time that I have my laptop open.

On choosing the website that I want, the pop up appears and starts flashing. Every time it flashes it seems to create another instance of the popup that then needs to be closed, so it’s common to have to click it (say) 4-8 times. If the wrong place is clicked, Brave simply opens the other website (that I don’t want). In my case, both websites are owned by the same company which is weird (either one should be wrong or both).

When the feature was introduced there was a flag to disable it, but that flag has gone. I suggest that the “lookalike” warning not be shown if the site is a Favourite - that way it can be customised to be turned off.

This is a serious issue for me - at the moment it makes Brave unusable since I spend almost all my time on the 2 websites and I need fast responses (they are trading sites). Am experimenting with LibreWolf and Waterfox.
