I’m encountering a very strange and persistent issue and hoping someone can help.
The Situation:
I just successfully subscribed to Brave Search Premium on my Vivo phone. However, I am completely unable to log in and activate the subscription on my Google Pixel 9.
The Problem / The Loop:
On my Pixel 9, the process always fails in the same way:
- I go to account.brave.com.
- I enter my email address (the same one I used to subscribe).
- I receive the login link in my email.
- I click the login link.
- The Brave browser opens, but it gets stuck forever on the loading animation (the spinning triangle logo).
Key Details: - Device That Fails: Google Pixel 9 (Stock Android).
- Device That Works: Vivo phone (Custom Android).
- Location: I am in the USA, so this is not a VPN or firewall issue.
- Network: Both devices have been tested on the same Wi-Fi network.
- My Goal: I just want to log in on my Pixel 9 to use the Premium features I’ve already paid for.
Troubleshooting Steps I’ve Already Taken: - I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled the Brave browser on my Pixel 9.
- I have tried creating a brand new, clean user profile within Brave on the Pixel, and the login loop still happens.
- I have tried temporarily disabling Brave Shields for the account.brave.com page.
- The issue is consistent and has been happening for over a day.
Since this works on one phone but not the other, it seems to be a device-specific or OS-specific bug where Brave’s account system is not compatible with something in the Pixel’s software/hardware stack.
Could the team please look into this? Is this a known issue?
