Description of the issue:
Same issue as this link here:

Tried the tips to solve:

  1. working fine in incognito mode
  2. deleted the cookies related to linkedin by going onto this path as best as i could, ** Navigate to Settings --> Advanced --> Privacy/Security --> Content Settings --> See all cookies and site data **
, but then as soon as i open a new tab, go to linked in, and then signin again starts happening automatically using Sign in to LinkedIn with Google

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

Expected result:

Reproduces how often:

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):

Brave 1.60.125 Chromium: 119.0.6045.199 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Revision 9c1f9e267d7ef50aefbe434e616e05290536926b
OS Windows 10 Version 22H2 (Build 19045.3693)

User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/119.0.0.0 Safari/537.36

Additional Information:

if possible give the exact location of deleting linkedin cookies and site data, as the version has changes and thus this navigation has changed too.

  1. Navigate to Settings --> Advanced --> Privacy/Security --> Content Settings --> See all cookies and site data

@abhishek1141781 this gives you the answer on your issue. Think of it this way. The only difference between private/incognito and normal windows are:

  1. It starts the session with no active cookies

  2. Extensions are disabled by default (as long as you haven’t changed that setting)

  3. It clears history and cookies from your session when you exit

Generally, if it works in private window but not normal, it means it’s one of your extensions causing issues. This is even further affirmed by you saying you’ve cleared cookies and the issue still occurs.

So I’d remove your extensions and give it another shot. Or, if you’re worried about removing them to test, then create a new profile that you can use for testing purposes. This won’t erase your existing profile but just will create a second one for troubleshooting purposes.

If you’re not sure how, go to Hamburger Menu imageMore ToolsAdd new profile.

New profile will be default Brave settings overall (it maintains custom content filters and any changes you made to brave://flags) and no extensions. If new profile works perfectly fine, then it should be an easy confirmation for you that one of your extensions is indeed the culprit.

Then you either add one extension at a time to your new profile until it breaks again or you’ll remove from original profile to see if it starts working again. Either way, just will be trial and error until the culprit is found.
