Legitimate API being blocked, whitelist request

I work in support at IPinfo.io, a geolocation provider. We’ve received reports that our API is blocked by Brave. We do not track or provide PII, with the primary information we provide being city-level geolocation accuracy. This allows our customers to understand their customers as well as provide their customers with the right content based on their location. Below is what we provide. I’m sharing the details of my current IP address for reference. I attempted to share our full payload for our Business Plan users, but was limited to 4 links.

{
“ip”: “71.11.197.203”,
“hostname”: “071-011-197-203.res.spectrum.com”,
“city”: “Granbury”,
“region”: “Texas”,
“country”: “US”,
“loc”: “32.4488,-97.7285”,
“postal”: “76049”,
“timezone”: “America/Chicago”,
}

Could we get whitelisted so that users of the Brave browser who visit our customer’s sites can get the full experience our customers intend?

Best,
Chris

Brave uses Easylist/Easyprivacy which is why its blocked. Getting IP/location info is tracking, regardles of its intention.

@fanboynz Thanks for the explanation. That makes sense.
