Latest brave browser crashing on mac

Hi @parikhparth23 - thanks for reporting the issue. We just pushed out an update a few minutes ago that I think will have resolved your issue. When you get a chance try updating and let me know if that fixes it or if it continues to crash.

Is 0.68.142 intended to also address the issue discussed here? I have been experiencing the same issue discussed below on both Windows 10 and macOS Mojave (10.14.6).

Brave freezes up frequently and regularly (video attached)

Brave freezes frequently when open. We’re talking every 15 second or so. I’m on the latest release (0.68.140) in Windows 10. I can hear the GPU fan spin up every time in sync with the hangups which last for about 8-10 seconds each time. Up until this point in this post, Brave has frozen up 6 times. I am not joking. Same problem. All the latest versions on OSX w Chrome. I got Brave because Chome is a memory hog that always crashes.

Do I need to revert to Chrome?

What version are you currently using? Since this thread started, we’ve released another (much larger) update to v0.69.132 – can you ensure you’re using this version? Additionally, is your device part of a Sync chain?
