Japanese desktop browser still BAP

First of all I want to thank the Brave team for their work.
And the issue: I live in Japan, and we got the very good news that BAT is going to be supported. I am really happy about this. My Android browser has BAT already, but my desktop browser is still with BAP only. I uninstalled and reinstalled the browser, but I still only get BAP as a reward. Is this going to change?
I am very grateful for any input.

Sadly no. Due to regulations in Japan, Brave cannot offer BAT. And use BAP (BAT Point) instead. https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/articles/360027276731-Brave-Rewards-FAQ

I’m not sure why it’s still show BAT on mobile. cc @Mattches @sriram @asad
