Is there a way to reduce how much Brave writes to disk?

Periodically, Brave seems to write a ton of stuff to disk. More so durning startup and shutdown. It writes so much it grinds my desktop to crawl. If I’m able to kill the Brave process, my desktop will come back to life. What is Brave writing to disk?

Here are my Brave process with one empty tab open and all my extensions set to no access.

Writes will range from disk cache, to writing sites into history/settings. Brave wouldn’t write much more onto disk than other browsers.

Whats the disk health currently?
