I saw few articles here about Brave is showing as Chrome to protect user identity.
Is Brave always protect user identity in this way? I mean, never will show Brave instead of as a Chrome/Chromium?
Thanks greetings

Hello @brawe
Thank you for reaching out and welcome to our community! By default, Brave has the strongest privacy protections of any popular web browser and it comes in three different layers:
The first layer Brave Shields: blocks trackers, cross-site cookie tracking, fingerprinting, and more.
The second layer our advanced privacy protections: include many features and Chromium customizations built right into the browser. These include reduced network server calls, partitioning, blocked bounce tracking, and more.
The third layer of protection is our policies and practices: Our ability to safeguard your data by not collecting it in the first place. To adhere to and exceed government data protections like GDPR and CCPA. To support and contribute to the online privacy community.
If you have any additional question, please let us know and have a great day!
Hello @Alice2095 , Thank you for quick answer I appreciate this.
Is there any way to recognize that is using Brave not Chrome?
How can be recognize that is using Brave not Chrome? Is there possible?
Thank you
Why do you want the browser to be seen as Brave?
The purpose of making it visible as Chrome is because so many people browse with Chrome. Brave users stick out less and it’s harder to be noticed if you look like the people around you. If you’re visibly using Brave, then companies can more easily pick out your information because it’s unique.
Hello @cynical13
I didn’t say that I want the browser to be seen as Brave. Sorry for short answer, but I didn’t get answer for my question, yet.
I know the purpose and that cool. But
Is there any way to recognize that is using Brave not Chrome?

Thank you
I haven’t come across that option in the standard options. It may be possible if you go through all of the available in brave://flags/
nor have I looked for any extensions that would allow for it.
Are you trying to be seen as Brave or are you trying to make sure that Brave won’t be seen as anything but Chrome?
