I recently contacted Protonmail support and their reply showed that they had identified my browser as Chrome, in spite of being on Brave. I’m sure many people are here for the same reason I am. I do not trust Google. They are not friends of the people. This doesn’t sit well with me. I hope there is a good reason.

We use the same User Agent as Chrome, so it’s expected here.
There are a lot more people using Chrome than Brave. If I’m not mistaken, and please correct me if I am, but since Brave is built on the same engine, it’s easier to hide and look like Chrome to keep sites from identifying Brave users than it is to announce that you’re using Brave and still maintain privacy.
