Is Brave as secure as Chrome?

Very curious about this. I know Brave usually runs on the same Chromium build as Chrome (right?), but does this means both browsers are as secure?

I know Chrome is an industry leader when it comes to security, so I am super curious about this.

I would suspect it is more secure. It has all of the hardened chrome code plus all the blocking of potentially harmful content that doesn’t come standard with the google release. The potential for it to be less secure would come if and when they modify that hardened code.
