I’ve tried instructions at https://www.ubuntutrick.com/2017/02/brave-faster-and-safer-browser-for.html;

So far, Brave has not been downloaded or installed.
At some point, a brave.deb file was created but it was zero bytes.
Expected result:
Installation of Brave

Reproduces how often:
Always

Brave Version(about:brave):
Unsure; whatever version is currently available for download as of 19Nov2018

Reproducible on current live release (yes/no):
Yes

Additional Information:

I’m no expert on either Linux or Brave and I’m using Mint 19 MATE. However I had a problem with the standard install methods. The Brave settings page was the stanard Chrome settings page. So I downloaded Brave 0.25.2dev .deb installer from Sourceforge.net https://sourceforge.net/projects/brave-browser.mirror/files/

Give it a try. It can’t do any harm. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the reference to the .deb files. I was looking for these too, they seem to have disappeared for no reason.

Unfortunately these are older. The most recent activity is from October 15. The latest stable version for that was v.0.23.73. This turned out to be even older than a more recent version I already had installed from a .deb from their website (v.0.23.107).

So the .deb files are no longer supported. :confused:

Okay, that is what I was looking for, and hopefully this also works for the OP.

Too bad there isn’t a hard link right on the “downloads” page for Linux.

Thanks!
