Everytime I start Brave it “calls” the adress: laptop-updates.brave.com and my antivirus reacts. This site is unsecure and I have tried Firefox with laptop-updates.brave.com in the address line and the antivirus blocks the site. I have deleted history and cookies, deaktivated the Bitdefender extensions I have but, scanned the Pc for malware and virus but nothing was found.
Am I the only one with this problem?

Can you try going to:
and downloading the standalone setup for Windows.
Either BraveBrowserStandaloneSetup.exe or BraveBrowserStandaloneSetup32.exe depending on you machine.
This one I believe is when the browser check for an update.

I have installed the BraveBrowserStandaloneSetup.exe. Now I just have to wait and see.

Brave is working without errors with my VPN activated.

I have the same. Initially, my antivirus reported that it was targeting ‘-’, then it was ‘system idle process’ and now we’re back to ‘-’.
If I go into Brave -> About, it appears that I’m running the latest version.
Brave is up to date

Clearing cookies does not fix the problem.
