If the Brave Shield is activated, Youtube can only be used in the area of audio playback. Videos only appear as unclear light sources. Only disabling Brave Shield will allow the video to play in full (including visual content). Of course, this leads to the display of advertising. In the Edge browser, the problem with uBlock Origin does not occur.

Does the site function as expected when Shields are turned off? Yes
Is there a specific Shields configuration that causes the site to break? If so, tell us that configuration. No, you can deactivate/minimize all options, as soon as the blocking of ads and the tracker is activated, the function of the site will be impaired.
Does the site work as expected when using Chrome? Tested with Edge and uBlock Origin, yes!

@Halb Do a favor. Can you open a Private window and try it? I’m thinking perhaps an extension you have on the device is causing issues. It would be a good way to try to verify either way.
If that doesn’t work, the next step would be to try in a new profile.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t work in the private window either. The filter lists and the user-defined filters also have no influence on it. In addition, my Brave browser is free of extensions. I have to go to work now, the new profile creation doesn’t work quickly for me. I’ll try it afterwards. Thanks for the efforts so far.
Try clearing data in Youtube stored on brave. I guess this should help. Also check if you’re using the latest version of Brave. Cheers!

It’s not like I haven’t tried the classic reboot before and the problem has been there for about two days now.
