Icon not showing after update

i had an old version of brave, wanted to updated so i downloaded the apk of the latest version, installed it but the ‘open’ option after ‘done’ wasn’t available, after wich the app icon disappeared and i couldn’t access it, although i can find brave in ‘installed apps’ in settings.

current brave version: 1.35.102
old version: either 1.22 or 1.24(can’t remember exactly)

device: Galaxy grind prime pro running Android 7.1.1

I am having the same issue, I can only open the app from the settongs tab or the sliding memory of recent apps. All widgets are gone. Very annoying. Running android version 12 on an S20+ 5G
